Digital Nomads Travel Tips

Why We Decided to Quit Our Jobs & Travel Full Time with Our 2 Dogs

Some of you may know that my name is Aimee and I am the primary author on this blog, other than guest posters.

My fiancee Dallas and I have decided to become nomadic for the next 6 months, pursuing freelance work. He’s a graphic designer and I’m a marketer by trade.

We quit our jobs to travel for six months before we get married in 2020. We decided to change the name of our Youtube channel to Dallas & Aimee to better represent who we are and what we represent.

The reality is, most people can’t travel all the time or even often. Jobs, children, money, pets, and responsibilities prohibit it. We decided to set out on an adventure before being held back by any of these things.

We are very fortunate to be surrounded by friends and family who are supportive, if not a little dubious of our plans.

It’s going to be difficult traveling with 2 dogs in a van but we intend to try. I will update this blog along the way with updates, itineraries, and the good and the bad of traveling.

We are also NOT rich. We saved up to do this trip and intend to work remotely the entire time. Check out our money-saving tips here.

Our first destination is to meet some friends in Phoenix, Arizona. Our last is seeing more friends in Reno, Nevada.

We are incredibly fortunate to be able to save up enough money to do this trip and want to enjoy life one day at a time instead of living for the weekends.

Thanks for reading!
